f=1Tf = \dfrac{1}{T}

Given,

So, substituting the value of T in equation above we get,

f=12f=0.5f = \dfrac{1}{2} \\[0.5em] \Rightarrow f = 0.5

Hence, the frequency of oscillation of the simple pendulum is 0.5 s-1.

The name given to such a pendulum is seconds' pendulum.
