Answer

x-intercept = -4 and y-intercept = 6

When x-intercept = -4; corresponding point on the x-axis = (-4, 0)

When y-intercept = 6; corresponding point on the y-axis = (0, 6).

Slope =600(4)=64.\text{Slope }= \dfrac{6 - 0}{0 - (-4)} = \dfrac{6}{4}.

By point-slope form,

⇒ y - y1 = m(x - x1)

⇒ y - 0 = 64\dfrac{6}{4}[x - (-4)]

⇒ y = 32\dfrac{3}{2}(x + 4)

⇒ 2y = 3x + 12

⇒ 2y - 3x = 12

⇒ 2y = 3x + 12

Hence, equation of line is 2y = 3x + 12.
