We know that the equation of straight line parallel to y-axis is
x = a
Since the line passes through the point (-3, 5), we get
a = -3
∴ Equation of the line ⇒ x = -3 or x + 3 = 0.
Hence, the equation of straight line is x + 3 = 0.
