Given,
y = 2x - 1 ……….(1)
When x = 1, y = 2 × 1 - 1 = 2 - 1 = 1
x = 2, y = 2 × 2 - 1 = 4 - 1 = 3
x = 3, y = 2 × 3 - 1 = 6 - 1 = 5.

Steps of construction :
Plot the points (1, 1), (2, 3) and (3, 5) on graph.
Join the points.
Comparing equation (1) with y = mx + c, we get :
m = 2 and c = -1.
Hence, slope of the line = 2 and y-intercept = -1.
