We know that,
When a point is reflected in x-axis, the sign of y-coordinate changes.
A(4, 2) ⇒ A'(4, -2).
Given,
A' is reflected in the line y + 2 = 0 or y = -2.
Since,
y-coordinate of A' is -2 and equation of line is y = -2.
So, A' lies on the line and so it is invariant on reflection in the same line.
A" = (4, -2).
Hence, Option 4 is the correct option.
