Let the breadth of the rectangle be b cm.
The length of a rectangle is twice its width.
l = 2b
Perimeter of the rectangle = 54cm
Perimeter = 2(l + b)
⇒ 2(2b + b) = 54 cm
⇒ 2(3b) = 54 cm
⇒ 6b = 54 cm
⇒ b = cm
⇒ b = 9 cm
l = 2b
= 2 x 9
= 18 cm
Hence, length of the rectangle is 18cm.
