Given,

Equation :

⇒ 3x - 2y = 4

⇒ 2y = 3x - 4

⇒ y = 32\dfrac{3}{2}x - 2 ………(1)

When, x = -2, y = 32×22\dfrac{3}{2} \times -2 - 2 = -3 - 2 = -5,

x = 0, y = 32×02\dfrac{3}{2} \times 0 - 2 = 0 - 2 = -2,

x = 2, y = 32×22\dfrac{3}{2} \times 2 - 2 = 3 - 2 = 1.

Steps of construction :

  1. Plot the points (-2, -5), (0, -2) and (2, 1) on graph paper.

  2. Connect points by straight line.

⇒ 5x - 2y = 0

⇒ 2y = 5x

⇒ y = 52x\dfrac{5}{2}x …………..(2)

When, x = -2, y = 52×2\dfrac{5}{2} \times -2 = -5,

x = 0, y = 52×0\dfrac{5}{2} \times 0 = 0,

x = 2, y = 52×2\dfrac{5}{2} \times 2 = 5.
