Since, A lie on y-axis, let its co-ordinates be (0, y) and B lie on x-axis, let its co-ordinates be (x, 0).
P is mid-point of AB.
By formula,
Mid-point =
Substituting values we get,
A = (0, y) = (0, 4) and B = (x, 0) = (-6, 0).
Hence, the co-ordinates of points A and B are (0, 4) and (-6, 0).
