Construct a cyclic quadrilateral ABCD in which AC = 4.5 cm, ∠ABC = 45°, AB = 3 cm and AD = 2.3 cm.

Steps of construction :

  1. Draw a line segment AC = 4.5 cm.

  2. Draw ∠CAE = 45°.

  3. Draw XY, the perpendicular bisector of AC.

  4. Mark O the point of intersection of AE and XY.

  5. With O as center and OA as radius draw a circle.

  6. From A, mark an arc AD = 2.3 cm and AB = 3 cm.

  7. Join CD and BC.

Construct a cyclic quadrilateral ABCD in which AC = 4.5 cm, ∠ABC = 45°, AB = 3 cm and AD = 2.3 cm. Model Paper 1, Concise Mathematics Solutions ICSE Class 10.
