(i) the energy spent by the machine.

(ii) the power of the machine if it is 100% efficient.

Given,

Force = 750N

height or distance moved = 16 m

time = 5 s

(i) Energy spent or the work done = F x S

W=750×16=12000JW = 750 \times 16 = 12000 J \\[0.5em]

Therefore, energy spent is equal to 12000 J

(ii)

Power spent=work donetime takenW=120005=2400W\text{Power spent} = \dfrac{\text{work done}}{\text{time taken}} \\[0.5em] W = \dfrac{12000}{5} = 2400 W \\[0.5em]

Therefore, power spent is equal to 2400 W.
