From figure,

AC = 9 + 6 = 15 cm

BC = 2 + 6 = 8 cm

In right angle triangle ACB,

⇒ AB2 = AC2 + BC2

⇒ AB2 = 152 + 82

⇒ AB2 = 225 + 64

⇒ AB2 = 289

⇒ AB = 289\sqrt{289} = 17 cm.

Hence, Option 2 is the correct option.
