Answer
Jawaharlal Nehru Port (JNPT), also known as Nhava Sheva Port, is the biggest ultra-modern seaport of India. It is equipped with modern facilities having mechanised container berths for handling dry cargo and service berths. It accounts for 50% of the total containerized cargo volume, across the major ports of India. JNPT is well-connected to India's transportation network, with good road and rail connectivity, which makes it easy to move goods to and from the port. JNPT has been instrumental in increasing trade between India and other countries, particularly with the Middle East, Africa, and Europe.
