The third term of a G.P. is 2. Find the product of the first five terms of this G.P.

Let first five terms of G.P. be $\dfrac{a}{r^2}, \dfrac{a}{r}, a, ar, ar^2$ .

Given,

Third term of the G.P. is 2.

∴ a = 2

Product of terms = $\dfrac{a}{r^2} \times \dfrac{a}{r} \times a \times ar \times ar^2 = a^5$

= 2⁵

= 32.

Hence, product of the first five terms of this G.P. = 32.
