When the point P is reflected in the line y = x, the x and y coordinates interchange.
Let point P becomes P' on reflection in the line y = x.
∴ P(x, y) = P'(y, x)
Given,
⇒ Co-ordinates of P' = (x', y')
⇒ (y, x) = (x', y')
⇒ y = x' and x = y'
Hence, Option 4 is the correct option.
