To prove:

(log a)2 - (log b)2 = log (ab)\Big(\dfrac{a}{b}\Big). log (ab)

Solving L.H.S. of the above equation, we get :

⇒ (log a)2 - (log b)2

⇒ (log a + log b)(log a - log b)

⇒ log ab. log (ab)\Big(\dfrac{a}{b}\Big)

Hence, proved that (log a)2 - (log b)2 = log (ab)\Big(\dfrac{a}{b}\Big). log (ab)
