Reason — Power if given by the formula,

P=I2RP = I^2R

New Current (I') = 2I

New Resistance (R') = 14\dfrac{1}{4}R

Substituting we get

P2P1\dfrac{P2}{P1} = (2I)2×R4I2×R\dfrac{(2I)^2 \times \dfrac{R}{4}}{I^2 \times R}

Hence, P2 = P1

∴ Power dissipation will remain same.
