Answer

The speed of sound is directly proportional to the square root of temperature of the medium. It increases by about 0.61 m s-1 (or 61 cm per second) for each degree celsius rise in temperature (provided that the rise in temperature is not very large).

i.e.,

Vt = V0 + 0.61t
