Give reasons for the following :
All temperatures in the absolute (Kelvin) scale are in positive figures.
Answer
The temperature -273°C is called absolute zero and it is theoretically the lowest temperature that can ever be achieved. The absolute (Kelvin) scale has its zero at -273°C. As temperatures lower than -273°C are not possible, hence, all temperatures in Kelvin scale are in positive figures.
