By formula,
Mean =
Sum of observations = 8 + 0 + 5 + 3 + 2 + 9 + 1 + 5 + 4 + 7 + 2 + 5 = 51.
By arranging data in ascending order, we get :
0, 1, 2, 2, 3, 4, 5, 5, 5, 7, 8, 9
Here, n = 12 which is even.
By formula,
Median =
Substituting the values we get,
Hence, mean = 4.25 and median = 4.5
