(i) We know,
Slope of line parallel to x-axis = 0.
By point-slope form,
⇒ y - y1 = m(x - x1)
⇒ y - 7 = 0[x - (-5)]
⇒ y - 7 = 0
⇒ y = 7.
Hence, equation of the line parallel to x-axis is y = 7.
(ii) We know that,
Equation of line parallel to y-axis is given by,
⇒ x - x1 = 0
⇒ x - (-5) = 0
⇒ x + 5 = 0.
Hence, equation of the line parallel to y-axis is x + 5 = 0.
