Find the 5^th term of the G.P. $\dfrac{5}{2}, 1, …….$

Answer

Common ratio = $\dfrac{1}{\dfrac{5}{2}} = \dfrac{2}{5}$

a₅ = ar⁴

= $\dfrac{5}{2} \times \Big(\dfrac{2}{5}\Big)^4$

= $\dfrac{5}{2} \times \dfrac{16}{625}$

= $\dfrac{8}{125}$ .

Hence, 5^th term = $\dfrac{8}{125}$ .
