Given, sequence : 10, 8, 6, ……..
The above sequence is an A.P. with first term (a) = 10 and common difference (d) = (8 - 10) = -2.
By formula,
⇒ an = a + (n - 1)d
⇒ a10 = 10 + (10 - 1) × -2
⇒ a10 = 10 + 9 × -2 = 10 - 18 = -8.
Hence, 10th term of the sequence = -8.
