Relation between S.I. and C.G.S. units —

1 kg m^-3 = $\dfrac{1 \text {kg}}{1 \text {m}^{3}}$ = $\dfrac{1000 \text{g}}{(100 \text {cm})^{3}}$ = $\dfrac{{1}}{1000}$ g cm^-3

Thus,

1 kg m^-3 = 10^-3 g cm^-3 or

1 g cm^-3 = 1000 kg m^-3
