(a) Loudness.
(b) Given,
Velocity = 1.5 kms-1
Time = 14 sec
Distance =
(As the wave travels to the target and back so distance covered will be half of the distance travelled by the wave.)
Substituting values in the above formula we get,
Distance covered =
= 1.5 x 7 = 10.5 km
Hence, distance covered by the Ultrasonic wave = 10.5 km.
