Weight of the solid in air (W1) = 120 gf

Weight of the solid when completely immersed in water (W2) = 105 gf

Relative density of solid=(W1W1W2)=(120120105)=8\text{Relative density of solid} = \big(\dfrac{W{1}}{W{1} − W_{2}}\big) \\[0.5em] = \big(\dfrac{120}{120 - 105}\big) \\[0.5em] = 8

∴ Relative density of solid = 8
