By the principle of floatation,

Volume of immersed partTotal volume=Density of waxDensity of brineVolume of immersed partTotal volume=0.951.1=0.86\dfrac{\text {Volume of immersed part}}{\text{Total volume}} = \dfrac{\text {Density of wax}}{\text {Density of brine}} \\[1em] \therefore \dfrac{\text {Volume of immersed part}}{\text{Total volume}} = \dfrac{0.95}{1.1} \\[0.5em] = 0.86

Hence, the piece of wax floats with 0.86th part of it's volume immersed in brine surface.
